Induction stories?

Hi ladies, this isn't a birth story but I am being induced on Sunday, I'll be 37+1 due to gestational hypertension and preeclampsia. I'm feeling very nervous and starting to get paranoid this is going to be a very long process seeing as how this is my first . Does anyone have any stories they can share on how their induction went?

I was induced with my 2nd- from start to finish, labor was about 10 hours. Not bad. I went it around 6am, pitocin started, antibiotics started (only because I was GBS+) then waited a bit to dilate. Then water was broken, epidural given, then a few more hours of waiting to fully dilate. Around 3:30/4 I was fully dilated, and started pushing.  My daughter was born at 4:23pm. No tearing, and problems :)

I was induced due to gest diabetes, had pessary fitted which hurt! 2 days of waiting in hospital and nothing so they broke my waters then we went over to labour ward where i was put on a drip to quicken contractions that was around 6pm, my baby turned back to back all of a sudden and the pain was all in my back, very painful so i had gas and air and pethadene, i wanted an epidural a few hours in but by then was fully dilated, pushed for around 30mins and gave birth at 1.31am! I hope i do not have to be induced with this baby (currently 5 weeks preg) as it was a terrible experience for me and cannot remember most of it due to the pain and drugs i was on, i know now for next time though, hope your story is very different, good luck x

I was induced with my son at 42weeks! I did have a hard labor and had my son's umbilical cord not been kinked (when i pushed it cut off his oxygen) i could have had him natural. As life goes, i ended up with an emergency c-section, however, the induction was easy and within a few hours i was fully dilated. Dont stress ☺ He/She is worth it

all women n pregnacies are different but Ive had 3 children..pregnant with number 4 n was induced with all of them. About 10 hours of labor..pushed for 20 minutes and my 1st was here..2nd n 3rd..about 10 hours active labor pushed for less than 10 minutes...im very blessed that even with induction my labor n delivery was not bad at all. Blessings!

With my 1st induction was scheduled 1-11-11 and the day before as I was re washing everything for the 1000 th time and I was on the phone with a good friend I said yuck j peed myself after maybe 40 seconds gosh I did it again ouch back pain and so 11 hours later u had my son

Let's skip forward 10 months

I went in on time to my scheduled induction and to my surprise they were taking forever to get started then I got checked for dialation and I was already at 5cm so they broke my water and well 10 hrs later she was born my 2nd child in a year :-)

I was induced at 37w2d due to having suffered a previous late loss. We were checked into the hospital at 7:30pm. I was given the induction drug at ~10 and gave birth at 2:05am! It all depends on how your body reacts! I wasn't dilated at all and too worried about length of labor, but boy did the induction work!

I was induced at 39 weeks 1 day.  
My labor time (from them breaking my water and starting pitocin to baby being born) was 5 hours and 30 minutes total. 
I loved it! I want to be induced again cuz I'm terrified of going into labor on my own lol

I was induced at 40+ weeks. Started at 9 am.  I transitioned around 4 to a hard labor and starter pushing at 4:30. Link was born at 5:01 pm. Link is my first and labor from beginning to end was 8 hrs. I had an epidural at 11:30 so it all was pretty easy. 😀
