Superstition??? ....

Question

Is it bad luck to buy baby clothes before baby is born? Or have someone buy you babies clothes and keep them in your house before?? Is this an old school superstition???

ANYTHING can be made into a "superstition" and this is a very good example of that. 
I guess it's "better" to rely on others to buy the stuff u need via baby shower gifts..oh wait. ..let's say u are NOT gonna have a baby shower... now what? Now ur in the hospital, just had a baby..bleeding like crazy for at least the next week... but HEY!  NOW U NEED TO GO SHOPPING FOR CLOTHES. Yes, assuming ur a single mom and ur friends and family can't buy much for u... NOW WHAT?  
Ugh.... in that case, watching TV is bad luck too... or BREATHING! OH YA. .I HEARD BREATHING IS BAD LUCK. ..STOP BREATHING....NOW!

I've heard alot of superstitions that I find totally ridiculous. My finances grandmother said your not suppose to buy anything until the baby's here . Like i previously read what are you supposed to do go in labor with nothing and shop when the baby is here !?!?!? I think not ! Least not i lol . I find alot of older relatives have weird superstitions .

Never heard of it as being superstition or bad luck but most people wait until they find out the sex and then go shopping. I mean you have to be prepared with everything before the baby comes or you'll have nothing for the baby 😕

People have baby showers before the baby arrives just about 98% of the time. All of those babies were fine lol I think it's safe to say you can buy whatever you want, when you want. 😊

Nope. I wait until I know the sex before buying anything. Haven't heard any superstitions just something I feel more comfortable doing.

My family is like that.  My baby shower will be few weeks after his birth.  I've bought the basics for his arrival but little by little and closer to the due date. I'm 37 weeks and my stroller/car seat came in today.  Just to get into the spirit I do sign up for events and registries just to get things free.  😉
