Stabbing baby with needle?!

I was doing my nightly insulin injection, and right as I stuck the needle in and pushed the button, the baby kicked right into where the needle was in my belly, hard. I'm scared that I injected her instead of me. Can that happen? What should I do?

Insulin needles are WAY too short to make it through all the skin, fat,muscle, uterus, etc.

I'd call your on call nurse/doctor or you can try a labor and delivery nurse. I would think from the shortness of the insulin needles you didn't inject the baby at all, but for peace of mind if give them a call!

Insulin needles only go into the subcutaneous tissue. Your baby is very well protected.

Is an injection in the thigh or somewhere else not an option? Serious question, I don't know a lot about insulin injections.

To stick ur baby u would need to pop the amniotic sac aswell!!! If ur waters haven't broken u are fine,there's no way u pricked her
