Watch your sugar. But you can have up to 200mg of caffeine a day, and a 12oz dr. Pepper has 41mg.

I'm having horrrrrrroible soda cravings being pregnant and I hated soda before getting pregnant. I've been drinking one a day without caffeine but I'm trying to kick the habit. I recently started drinking La Croix which is naturally flavored sparkling water... no cals and no caffeine! They have a pineapple strawberry flavor!

As a rule I give up soft drink when pregnant except for the occasional lemonade. Coca Cola is my weakness and I didn't have a drop last pregnancy.  I've been abstaining this pregnancy as well however we had a babysitter the other night who is a friend and refuses to be paid so we bought snacks and food and a 1.25lt bottle of Coke for her. Normally she takes it with her but she didn't even open it so now it's sitting in my fridge mocking me.

Drinking soda anytime, especially pregnant is bad. Have you ever read the list of ingredients on a can of soda? There are so many other better flavorful and much healthier drink options out there.  Any yes, everything in moderation, when "everything" means foods and drinks made from natural ingredients, not chemicals.
