Belly button

I had my belly button pierced when I was 18. Unfortunately it got ripped out TWICE and left an awful scar. Well now I'm 21 so it's pretty much healed. I'm 24 weeks pregnant now and lately my belly button has been red and swollen and hurts to the touch. My mom is prone to merca so I'm worried that I could get an infection. Is that possible even though it's been helped for over two years. (P.S excuse my hairy baby belly)
