Hubs dipping causing ttc issues?

Question

We've been trying for 12 months now. I have 2 kids from a previous marriage and got pregnant with no problems both times. I actually found out I was pregnant with my son when I went in for birth control 6 weeks after my daughter was born. That was 9 years ago and now I can't get pregnant. I have normal cycles and am ovulating regular.  The only thing I can think is its him, but he's only in his 20's. I wondering if his dipping has anything to do with it. I haven't made a issue of it cause that was something I accepted when we first started dating. Even though I find it disgusting. I just want everyones thoughts. I dont want to take away something he enjoys, but I want a baby. I know he would quit if he knew it was harming our chances.

What's dipping? Sorry I just don't understand what that means,maybe if I understand I can try and help xx

There has been some studies showing that it does effect their sperm.
I mean it's a chemical of course it's bad 
I'd talk to him about quitting for his sperm, oral, and overall health.

Okay hun, i don't think dipping will be the cause but you'll only know if he gets his sperm tested for count and motility and morphology. Let me make this clear though...you conceived easily NINE year's ago, you'll be amazed what effect 9 years has, your fertility ISN'T the same as it was back then, you can NEVER base your past fertility on what your future fertility wil be like, we aren't like men, our fertility slowly degrades as we age, i mean my first conception, i got my arm implant BC out and didn't even get a period, 4 weeks after removal and i got a BFP, i lost that baby at 7w6d, my second conception took 3 month's, after coming of combined pill, i heartcrushingly lost my little boy at 20 weeks along, then we unintentionally conceived very quickly and by 3months 2 weeks post loss of our son, we where having yet ANOTHER loss at 5w4d, we then started TTC again and took SIX month's to conceive and finally had our rainbow son 2 month's premmie just 8 days after our 3 year anniversary. We have now been TTC our final baby with ZERO conceptions for 2 year's 3 month's, we are still in our early 20's so to be struggling is a big shock but this is what happens, happens earlier for some then other's. I'll also make mention that I've been temping and confirming ovulation IS indeed occuring since August last year, and we time it right every month and so it proves that even if you time it right and everything is right, it doesn't necessarily mean it will take :/

My husband and I starting going to the infertility doctor about a month ago. We found out he had low sperm motility. They told him right then and there that he needed to stop dipping. Tobacco effects everyone differently and could possibly be the reason. My husband hasn't had a dip in a month and when we went to have our IUI done last Friday, his sperm count was the highest it has ever been. Good luck.

I doubt that's it. My husband chews every single day like a whole can and I'm almost 37 weeks pregnant. He's 21
