When to leave work? 🤔

Hey everyone so I work in retail at toys r us... Standing all day where the shortest amount of hours a day I get is 6.... When would you start asking for 4 hour shifts instead and how many weeks before the baby is due should I start maternity leave... They will give me 8 weeks no matter how soon I leave!

I work customer service at a union grocery store. I haven't technically been there for a year since there was a break between working for this exact store so I have to take didabillity and on the 25th I plan on telling my doctor that I'm done I can't do it anymore. I feel like she's coming out there's so much pressure! I'm only 34 weeks so I don't want her to come too early.

I worked fulltime, 8hr shifts, as an RN on a very busy post acute care unit until I was 37wks then it became unsafe for me and my patients so I took short term disability until I gave birth. Everyone is different. Listen to your body.

I work in retail as well. Saks fifth ave. I do 9 hours shifts and I'm due in a month. I say do it until you can't anymore. I'm trying to work until the end because I want more time with my baby. I get 3 months which is New York law for maternity leave.

I'm a physical therapist and I work 4/10. I  plan on working 10 hour shifts until I'm told I need to be on bed rest or my water breaks. I do understand my body has limits and I might need to ask for shorter hours if I get to tired.

I bartend right now and am on my feet hustling all shift. My shifts are usually 6-8 hours. I average about 25 hours a week. I just put my 2 weeks in last week and my last day is May 25th. I will be 37 weeks and 2 days. I think it depends on you and your body. These last couple weeks have been tough on me but not unbearable. I am definitely ready for my leave but the longer I worked the longer I could be at home with baby once he comes.
