Do you think this book is appropriate or inappropriate for children?

A recent college grad and local author from my city wrote this book.

It's unfortunately appropriate.

I say "unfortunately" because it's a sad reality that it's even an issue in the first place.

I think it is important to talk to your kids about, and the content might be good. But I don't like the message of the cover.

I think the best approach is trying to  empower kids. Teaching kids that it is Their body and No One gets to touch it without their permission. I think the image on the cover is confusing....

Sexually abusing a child is inappropriate so a book that might help children recognise grooming or to learn to trust their gut is a good thing. Although we need to make sure we don't traumatise children in our teaching them about personal safety. I've seen children who experienced the effects of sexual abuse when they weren't directly sexually abused simply because they weren't protected from adult discussions about the matter and were exploded to conversation well beyond their years in understanding.

I think it's an amazing idea.

When I was about 8, we went to a,family members house who I didn't remember I was very little when I last saw him.

From the moment I walked in the door he kept pulling me on his lap and I kept trying to get up and he would smack my ass and pull me right back to him. I still get freaked out thinking about it.

Come to find out he was accused of molesting one of my cousins and his son molested my sister.

SO no I don't think the books inappropriate I think it's needed .

I haven't seen the contents. But based off the the writing at the bottom it seems as if it's a book for parents on how to teach kids to identify such behaviors.

I'm definitely going to teach my child about preditors and if you aren't comfortable with someone tell me. I want my son to be safe. My sister was molested and I want to make sure my son doesn't go through that. I'm hoping that the book would help to not terrify him. I know my mom told me when I was really little that a man was kidnapping little blonde haired blue eyed little girls. Now I'm terrified of getting raped/kidnapped so I never go anywhere alone.
