My lactation consultant had me begin supplementing my baby's diet with pumped milk or formula when my baby was 7 days old because he was not gaining enough weight. He's now 11 days old and has refused the breast for 3 days, except for a 12-minute session yesterday. The lactation consultant has had me doing the feeding tube and nipple shield with mixed success. I'm soooo tired of pumping (and I hate the feeding tube!!) and am wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem with good results? I just want my baby to get back to the breast to make all our lives easier!
