Pill/diarrhoea HELP

Hey so I've just had my two day pill free break and I'm about to start my next pill pack today at 6:30 so I'll be on day 1 but I was drinking with friends last night and had quite bad diarrhoea this morning.. Will it be okay to take at 6:30 and it still be effective? Or will I need a back up method for a few days? My leaflet says if you have been sick or had SEVERE diarrhoea 3-4 hours after taking a pill it may become ineffective but nothing about taking it before?!? Help pleeeease
