I had abnormal cells in December & had a colposcopy in January which showed high risk HPV. My doctor told me to come back in a year for another pap because most of the time the immune system takes care of it on its own. Then I got pregnant & I told my OB about everything. She just said well everyone has that & didn't seem concerned. I'm not going to worry about it till after I have my baby. I'm just going to enjoy my pregnancy & cross that bridge later. I have so many friends who have had abnormal cells & theirs all went away on its own. So I'm not to worried about it. Good luck & I hope this helps
Pregnant Mommies W/ Cervical Dysplasia
Other mommies have been very sweet but I think the only ones who can help are the ones who have actually HAD or HAVE cervical dysplasia during pregnancy. Many mommies are assuring me that my doctor will never let anything progress severely or to cancer & that any cells would be removed well before that but my problem is what if this happens during PREGNANCY. Because you cannot have cells removed during this time. In January (before I was pregnant) I had an abnormal pap (LSIL-mild dysplasia) and HPV. February I had a colposcopy. OB didn't see anything to biopsy but did do an endocervical curettage (scraping of inside of cervix) to check that too. That came back negative or normal or whatever. Did also repeat the pap at this time, still LSIL. He said he'd just repeat a colpo in 4 months (month from now) to see if the cells went away. I am 16 weeks pregnant. Any moms that have been through this or are going though it-what happened?? I know it's only mild and no one seems concerned but I have AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL anxiety and would love to hear from you mommies.
