Woke up this morning, feeling okay. Made myself breakfast and as soon as I sat down in the recliner to eat, my lower back really hurt. So I clicked on the heating pad and tried to continue eating but the pain began to be unbearable. I got on the floor and did some pelvic exercises but it didn't help any. I tried sitting on my exercise ball to maybe relieve some pressure but it didn't help any. I ended up laying on the floor on my side trying to breathe through the pain as I dialed my doctor who told me to come into L&D right away. I get there and of course the first thing they want is my pee, so I go in the bathroom and to my surprise, there is blood in my urine. They put me on two different monitors, one to hear my baby's heartbeat and one to feel for contractions. After about an hour they give me some pills to stop my contractions though I had only had a few and didn't even feel them. And another hour later they tell me I have a major uti and give me antibiotics. I never knew something like that could make you feel so crappy and I had no idea I had one this whole time cause I felt fine until this morning. Now I'm home in bed with much less painful back pain, a terrible headache, and an empty stomach cause I puked up the little bit of food I tried to eat when I got home. Baby girl has just been kicking away the whole time too. Got my little taste of what it's like to be in L&D, hopefully won't have to return there until I'm leaving with a baby instead of an infection.
