What to do with clothes that don't fit anymore

Question

My daughter has officially grown out of newborn size. I'm trying to decide what to do with the clothes. I'm wondering if they'd be worth keeping in case I have a daughter again or if I'd rather buy something new at that time. I'm not sure if I'd get much money if I tried to sell them. What did you do?

My friend cut all her babies clothes up and paid a lady she found online to make a blacket out of them. Its soo cute. Shes planning to add more as the years go on :)

I would donate them. Plenty of mom in need.. even if it's too someone who you know personally that is pregnant.

We gave ours to the hands program at our local health department to give to mothers in need. We also did this with all of the toys, bouncers, etc. A few of the things we also have to famalies we knew I'm need if they needed things that size or that item. It felt good to give back something small because we couldn't have some it without our family there for a while.

If you are going to have another baby keep them. Why waste money on more clothes?

You could sell, lots of moms like second hand. If they are in good shape you could still get a fair price.

You could also turn into a quilt or I have seen stuffed animals made out of outgrown clothes as keepsakes.

I think it's kind of sweet what my MIL did. She saved almost all of her kids clothes (my husband and his sister) and now she has a closet stocked full of clothes for our daughter. :) they're all in great condition and I think it's sweet that our girl will wear her aunts clothes :) it would have been cuter if we were having a boy and he was wearing his daddy's clothes. But maybe for the next one! 
I think I will do the same with special outfits at least and donate the rest when we're done with them.

Thanks ladies. Maybe I'll try to find somewhere to donate then I'd feel great knowing they'd go to someone that needs them. I may keep some but we have limited storage and none of my friends have any prospects of having kids any time soon.

Keep them. You, a family member or a friend might be happy to use them for another baby. This is how I got many cute clothes. If you know someone in need of clothes and you can later afford buying some for a next child, giving them away can also be great

I'm keeping all our clothes till we're done having kids. I'll prob end up giving them away or consigning them because you probably won't get much money anyways. We had so many people give us clothes that I don't mind just paying it forward and helping someone else out
