During labour Is it possible to pass out while your pushing?

I'm more worried about my husband passing out! He's a fainter!

I heard a story just 2 days ago about a woman fainting while pushing. The husband said he pushed from the top of her stomach while the dr pulled from the bottom.

I didn't pass out but I fell asleep for a split second between pushes. I pushed for maybe 45 min total. My doctor must have been watching me when it I did it. When I woke up she said it was normal. Birthing babies makes for exhausted mommas.

I don't think this happens very often. You have so many hormones and your adrenaline is up. Unless you are losing a ton of blood or something else is happening I think you'll stay conscious.
