I told my boyfriend that I wanted the baby's name to be a surprise & for him to NOT tell his family any names we pick out. Only because I'm super indecisive & knew that the name wouldn't be 100% until she got here. Of course, my boyfriend thought that was unfair & told his family the name once we settled on it. And of course, his mom told everybody. I have since decided that I want to call her by her middle name, not her first name. But his family continues to call her the first name & I don't correct them because I don't want to sound mean..but it seriously annoys me. So, today was my coed shower, given to me by my boyfriend's parents, & the majority of the cards had the baby's first name on it, plus a wreath was made with her first name on it. Of course, I didn't correct anyone for fear of coming off bitchy. It's really not that big of a deal, now, I guess I'll just correct them when she's born lol. I'm just pissed because my boyfriend told them the name we picked out. And because he didn't tell them my wishes of calling her by her middle name, or that I wanted it to be a surprise. His mom just put her name on social media😒...so, there goes my surprise. But I guess I should have stepped up & said something myself instead of counting on him. It's just annoying, and I feel like nobody is being considerate of what I want.
