Advise? For labor an family!

Question

So for my first labor my sister came to visit me because she was still in town and werent leaving for another day, luckily my son came just in time for her visit!  Problem is she had two girls, one was 1 1/2ish and other was 4 1/2ish! My husband was so uncomfortable bc they were young an he was our first and the girls wanted to be in his face and try and hold!  
I get it that some love family in there an the kids touching and all but we dont, and he was more against it! Thing was, i had to hurt my sisters feelings an say the girls couldnt come back for a second visit with him! 2 years later an im pregnant again and she did mention maybe we wont be allowed to come for this one too,  how do i handle this situation without hurting feelings? I mean our child is one thing but others?

I have 2 young children so I understand your concern. The main reason why most people don't want young children around the baby is because kids don't really understand germs yet. All you have to do is make sure the girls wash their hands and forearms...no coughing, so if one kid is sick they can't come. Nothing will happen to baby. But if you don't want anyone at the hospital just tell her that this time around you want your privacy. But as long as you guys take the proper cleanly approach you should be fine. My daughter was 1 and half and she visited me when I had my son and my kids will be at the hospital when I have this baby in November.

To save everyone's feelings why don't u say no 1 can visit u at hospital and when they come see you at home ask them not to be all in the babies face, that's what I'm doing, I've also said no 1 is to be at my house when I come home with the baby, u need space to adapt I think and bond with the baby and I would be livid if my nephew started poking and getting into my babies face, explain to your sister how uncomfortable it made u feel before xx

Unfortunately if you don't want her to be there you're going to end up hurting her feelings no matter how you put it. The only thing you could do is try not to be rude.. Maybe If the kids are the problem you could consider telling her you wanna hold off them touching the baby until it's 3 month + and maybe just allow her to visit???
