Start time to buy baby stuff???

When is the best time to start buying baby Stuff? what should I buy first? I know the gender.

I bought a few cute outfits after I found out the gender. I then waited until after my baby shower at 32 weeks to buy whatever else was left. I had to purchase most of the big things though. So I'd say depending on if you're expecting family/friends to buy big things, I'd start buying those first.

I'd say after you find out the gender. But once you hit the second trimester, you can stock up on diapers.

I'm 29+1 today, but I started buying the nursery furniture at 10 weeks and set everything up at 14 weeks. We haven't done much since really because we're waiting until after my baby shower which is in a month. But we have been slowly accumulating clothes and I've had time to set up some decorations, shelves etc. And we're going to finish the closet soon and hang the curtains. 
I would recommend at least starting a registry now. Even if you aren't having a shower. It's given me a place to keep a list of all the things I need to buy for our daughter (according to multiple lists online) and I kept track of when things went on sale and got our furniture for a little cheaper too!

I did it as soon as I found out sex. Then started getting things together. And like someone else said if you Dont have family to buy the big stuff then Start with that first, then clothes and then some diapers. Then put little stuff on the shower registry or last minute items.
