My boyfriends mom and grandma are making everything about them and it's getting really aggravating. After finding out the gender yesterday we all went to lunch and they were pestering me about a theme for the baby... I had JUST found out what I was having 20 minutes ago and to be honest I really thought I was gonna have the opposite! So when I said I wasn't sure they were kind of like baffled. I let that go. Then we all started looking up themes and me and my boyfriends mom found a cute theme where it's like baby animals and the main color is grey which is something I knew I wanted to do and when his grandma saw the elephants she said "No way, you can't do elephants! That's for boys" (I'm having a girl) and I had to bite my tongue but all I wanted to say is that I will do whatever I want! if I want to do my nursery in freaking blue and green I would! And another thing is that they took it upon themselves to decide to make my baby shower a surprise which is something I never wanted.. I wanted to be able to help plan and I wanted to choose the invites and help decorate because that's just stuff I like to do.. I understand they're coming from a good place but I just can't help but get annoyed.
