So I just got home from my OB appointment which was a follow up from my 21 week ultrasound/anatomy scan. My doctor told me that I had an abnormal ultrasound in which my baby is showing echogenic bowel. He said that in 75% of cases, the baby comes out totally normal. But now I have to have a more in depth ultrasound at a bigger hospital to see if the echogenic bowel is still there. I'm freaking out because I have been worried from the beginning that I haven't been growing as much as I should be. I'm only 22 and haven't had any health issues or problems so far in this pregnancy. Anybody else have this come up in their ultrasound? Some advice or knowledge would be extremely helpful. My doctor doesn't seem worried but I am. I'm also a first time mom.
