Low fetal heart rate, enlarged yolk sac
I had the viability scan today.... heart rate was low at 100 bpm and yolk sac was large and called hydropic. I was told high likelihood of miscarriage and have a follow up in one week. ( I'm 7 weeks, 3 days.) I had an ultrasound at 5 weeks and no fetal heart rate was detected, had 3 days of dark brown spotting, no real cramping. but hcg levels at that time were doubling. I'm thinking of getting a second opinion as the ultrasound tech was very gloomy from the first ultrasound and the ob seems positive. ( I am less than 35 years old). Anyone else encounter this ? Thanks
