Tips on potty training boys??? Just turned 2 on may 2nd!!

Im tired of buying diapers lol, especially 2 different sizes now ;) so we are attempting potty training!  HELP

I had a digital timer that I set for every 20 minutes. When it went off, we went no matter where we were. We did that for a week then bumped it to 30, then 45 and finally every hour.  It took a month of consistency but it worked.  
A little side note:  boys typically are slower and often times are closer to 3 before theyre. ready.  Try it for a few days. If it's not working, don't force it. Both of you will just end up frustrated. 
My daughter is 16 months and we've been casually using the potty since 11 months. If I stay consistent we only use 2 diapers a day. It's finally warm here in Michigan, so next week we're trying it for real.

This is what i did with my boys. My oldest son was heavvvvyyyy into batman. He was three at the time. So i told him, "hey! I got you some big boy underwear!" They were batman under roos. So as i was putting a pair of them on him, i said. "Now make sure you dont pee on batman!" And he was like, "ok mommy i wont" never had an accident! 😆 With my youngest, he was into power rangers. I did the same thing. Only difference was he had an accident or two. But that strategy worked for me! Now im carrying my third boy and hoping it will be as easy lol

Best tip I can give you...KEEP WINE IN THE HOUSE!!! Lol BC it is stressful!!! 😂 My son was soooo stubborn when potty training! Daycare helped a lot though bc he saw his friends using the potty and wanted to be a "big boy." Also shooting cheerios in the toilet helped. Best of luck to you

My son is now 13 but how we potty trained him was by making it fun! We did the fruit loops (or Cheerios) in the toilet & told him to aim for them. Also we took him to pick out whatever underwear he wanted (superman, batman, ect).

Hi! I'm a preschool teacher and work on potty training some of my students. Boys take a lot longer to potty train but consistency is key. Take him to the bathroom every 15-20 minutes and have him sit on the potty for a few minutes, do not take him off after 2 mins, that's just rushing him. We also have potty charts, everytime they pee, they get to put a sticker on their chart! You can reward them in different ways. It is time consuming but being on top of them will eventually get them potty trained. Good luck!

Cold turkey it. It'll be messy but pull ups are pointless. They just make your kid think it's okay to still pee and poop in their pants yeah it's a little less comfortable than a diaper to do it in but when he's busy and playing he doesn't care. Underwear with an accident will make him uncomfortable and have to change no matter what. Consistency is key! Also my little boy started with sitting on the potty now that he's older he stands.

The biggest tip I can give you first, is don't rush it!! Forcing him to use the potty before he is ready will result in frequent accidents, and frustration for both of you (which often times leads to regression for him)

Get a potty chair, let him pick out some big boy undies, and start slow. (He should be familiar with the potty before expecting him to use it)

I could use this advice too. I am going to start potty training my son in a few weeks once I am off work. He is just over 2 and a bit confused about the process right now. He'll pee in his pull up, take it off, and then go sit on the potty. I'm hoping he'll get the hang of it after a few days of accidents in underwear.
