Evening Primrose Oil- is it safe?

Hi girls I'll be 39 weeks on Thursday lol. I am curious about the EPO, so I bought some tablets. I just haven't asked my Dr about them and won't see him until Thursday. Is anyone else taking these to soften cervix? Are they safe during pregnancy? Thx !

I've used them vaginally with all my pregnancies...including this one. And I can tell you with certainty- they WORK!!

Yes! Use two capsules at night as high up around your cervix as you can and wear panties and a liner. When the capsules desintegrate they will drip out and without a pad it feels kinda gross lol.

I'm using it and I did with my first. I believe it's the reason I was in labor for only 10 hours with 30 min of pushing (induced with pitocin). The nurses couldn't believe how quickly it went for being my first. With that pregnancy I started taking it around 38 weeks and made it to 40. With this one I started at 36 so we will see how much it helps!

I'm using them. A doctor may very well tell you it isn't safe, or treat it like snake oil. MDs generally aren't supportive of homeopathic remedies. Your best bet is to do your own research on the subject and see a legitimate herbalist.
