When are you taking your baby to the pool?

I'm dying to take my 3 month old to the pool, but have heard negative things about the water and sunscreen. What are you doing ? Is sunscreen really bad for babies ?

We started swim lessons with my daughter @ 7.5 weeks. She loves it. Although we were in an indoor pool that is heated to 90. Sunscreen is not recommended for children under 6 mo. And be careful with sun exposure since babies skin is sensitive and can burn easily, also don't keep them in the water for too long, as they can't regulate their temperature as well as adults.

Sunscreen is 6 months and up. Baby's also can struggle with regulating their own body temperature in a pool so it's really best to watch the temp and not let baby get too cold. We love to swim in the summer, but I'm careful with my boys when they are young

You can buy floats with sun blockers. But just makes sure baby's ears get dried out. That be my only concern. Make sure its a trusted clean pool. Germs can get passed person to person in a pool.
