When to Exercise...

When did you all start to exercise after birth? I had a normal delivery on 19th May and just feel like my belly is so wobbly.

I started walking 5 days postpartum. Got cleared by doc to go to the gym after 4 weeks. I'd check with your doctor first... Everyone is different

I have been walking around my neighborhood since we left the hospital, may 8th. I'm hoping to start slowly getting back to my daily workout routine at about 4 weeks

My doctor cleared me to ease back into exercise yesterday at my 6 week PP checkup. I've been trying to walk, but will start easing back into a workout routine. I'm being realistic because my son doesn't always let me step away for more than 15-20 minutes to do anything once he's asleep right now, so I'm starting really slow.

I'm waiting to get cleared next week and then I'm going to start walking and hiking and if that goes well I'm thinking of signing up for a yoga class.

Also give yourself some time to shed some of the baby weight. I lost 15 lbs in the hospital and another 8lbs the first week home. My belly shrank a lot within 3 weeks.

I was told to start slow and see how you feel until you are officially cleared. So stick with walking and then some leg and arm exercises. Definitely don't overdo it though or you may end up waiting longer... Abs are the trickiest because you can't really tell if they are healed and ready.

I waited until I was clear at 6 weeks. I had a easy deliver too but your body is still healing and if you work out to soon it will hurt.

I was wondering this as well, I had mine on the 18th and I've just want to get rid of this jelly belly everyday since but I'm scared I might overdo it somehow
