Ovulation tests? Cm talk

Hey lady's I'm wondering this is my first month taking ovulation tests I am 2 days post period with slight spotting still I've been taking the test and got a light line two days ago a little bit of a darker line this morning but then nothing tonight. Am I doing something wrong did I miss ovulation? My cm was not anything close to where is should be during ovulation, I'm just lost, any help would be great thanks
