D&C experience?

Those of you who have had a D&C, good?bad? Did you get pregnat after? I d not want to pass my naturally like I did last time, but I'm nervous about a D&C

I had a D&C....It was absolutely fine and I was never in much pain..just some cramping. It was the right decision for me as I wanted it as physically painless as possible. I also wanted to make sure they got everything (sometimes even passing it naturally you end up with a D&C) so my body could reset naturally. I'm currently 11 weeks pregnant. We held off on trying for a few months to heal emotionally but were able to get pregnant again on the first try. Hope this helps

I bled for 50+ days before I have in and had one. Wish I would've done it SO much sooner! The scary part is thinking about it before hard. I took a Benadryl the night before to pass out and not think! The entire procedure lasted less than 30 minutes. I was home and feeling fine by 2 that afternoon (procedure was around 11). Took some ibuprofen and even made dinner that night. Went out of town the next day! I spotted for a week or less. I was scared to death to have surgery but it was worth it for me!

I had a molar pregnancy 10 months ago, and I had to get a D &C. If I didn't get one I would have cancer today. It took me and my husband 10 months to conceive again. We just found out we are expecting again.

If you want to conceive I'd really suggest not getting the d&c. It can leave scar tissue and create a bigger probelm. I know it's not easy letting it go naturally but it is probably best for trying again. Sorry

I had a dnc many years ago I got pregnant young and there was complications. They hit a major artery and I had to have a 2nd operation to stop the bleeding. It was a 1 in a million shot something would go wrong I was just unlucky. But once I got married years later I have been so nervous that I wouldn't get pregnant and now I'm 8 weeks along and just heard the heart beat! If you are not passing the baby fully you need to get it or you can get infections and it could end up in death. I had a bad expierence and now so far am having a very healthy pregnancy. I miscarried in late December,had a d&c early January. I was asleep during and had a fairly easy recovery....  I'm now 1 day shy of 13wks....

I had a D&C last September due to a missed miscarriage 😢. The procedure itself was painless and I was one of the lucky few that never bled or had cramping. Just a tad sore and could go without medication for very long stretches of time. My cycle picked right back up at 4 weeks after. My OH and I had to first deal with our grieving and in January of this year, decided to try again. Almost immediately, we became pregnant and i am now 20 weeks pregnant with our Rainbow Baby. I am so sorry for your loss. Take your time and good luck, hun!

I had a d&c done by the doctor awake. It wasn't bad. Just normal cramping and bleeding afterwards. I got pregnant 6/7 months later. Once my period got back to normal. I feared of trying again and when I least expected it we got pregnant in February 2016

I've had 2. Easy recovery. After the second one I found out 5 weeks later I was pregnant again. She will be here anytime now! Sorry for your loss.
