vba3c(vaginal birth after 3 c-sections)?

Question

Pregnant with baby #4, due October 23rd. I really really want to have a natural birth this time. My first c-section happened because when the doctor broke my water, it was filled with Marconium. My second happened because once my contractions started my baby turned into the transverse position. The third was just scheduled (me not knowing I could try for vba2c). So far I haven't had any luck with any doctors or midwives😒

Are any of you mom's trying to vbac after three c-sections? How difficult is it to find a doctor willing to deliver your baby? Any advice?

You might have to search and travel for a doctor after 3 sections, but they are out there, especially midwives and for a home birth. I see them all the time in my ICAN and VBAC groups!

It's a high risk to delivery a baby after  three c section.  So Im not trying to hurt you feel about you want to delivery but it's no way that a doctor will allow you to have one. Cause I had  4 c section already and get  my  5th one in October 24

Join your local ICAN Facebook group and also join the "Awesome HBAC, VBAC..." group on facebook. They are amazing. Tons of women give birth naturally after numerous Csections.

A midwife should do it, but I think your only option might be a home birth because birth centers won't risk it. Find a midwife Facebook group for your area, that's how I found my midwife. Good luck!! I'm sure you will be able to find someone!

The chances of a uterine rupture are very low though are a concern. I say go for it. You wouldn't wanna try a home birth of course BUT in the hospital the risks of any lasting damage is almost comparable to that of a fourth c section.

You need to know your own risk. I'm 4th c section and my risk is high being c section again as I've had severe pph twice. I'm not a vbac candidate as my cervix don't dilate properly hence only my first baby I laboured. There's risk in everything but it's how that's managed. For me the second baby is out I'm being connected to a drip to make my uterus contract. This way I'm in control of my uterus before it creates me problems. It may not work but it's about managing risk. Good luck

I am also pregnant with my 4th & wanted to to try a vbac after 3 c-sections-my first was a emergency my second was breached & my 3rd was just like yours because I didn't know I could attempt a vbac-I found a doctor that goes case by case & after talking with him my husband and I decided the risk isn't worth me wanting the normal experience!

I think most reasonable docs would counsel you on the risks of VBAC and let you make the decision. With your previously deliveries you NEEDED c-sections at least with the first 2. This will probably make you too high risk for home birth. The most important thing is for you and baby to be healthy so if you try VBAC and still have another section instead at least you know you tried.
