Crib help/opinions please!!!!

Do you need a crib or can you get by without one? We have a newborn rock and play sleeper which we can use the first few months but we have a pack and play also. ...will the pack and play work? Just tight on money and space and was curious if i should save for one in the future. Or if i do need yo get one, how old will my baby need it? Im a first time mom and due in 3 weeks!
