When were you cleared to drive after c section?

I was told 6 weeks, but I'm not on pain meds anymore.

My doctor told me 2 weeks at the soonest and have to be off the pain meds was the only requirements ... its been almost 3weeks for me i have been driving for a few days and feeling good

I wasn't told anything about not driving. I never took narcotics though and ended up driving a week after my c section. I was just very careful about getting in and out of my car since it's a SUV so it's kind of high for me being 5'1".

Mine said at least 2 weeks. I made sure to stop the painkillers and downgraded to only ibuprofen 5 days before I got behind the wheel. I just took short trips around the corner or so at first.

I had to start driving after two weeks because my husband went back to work. I just stopped taking my pain medication when I knew I would be driving and would usually take it at night. By then I was able to tolerate the pain enough to do that, though.

I was told I could drive again when I felt comfortable with it and was able to fully move without pain. It was about a week and a half before I felt OK to drive.

I was told I could drive at any time as long as I'm not on my pain medication Ans I pay close attention to how I get in and out of my car. I was really surprised !
