Baby under size?

Question

Anyone had a baby measure under size? I am 31wks and just had my midwife app and she has shown me baby is only the size of a 28wk and 2wks ago she was only 26wks😢 She has booked me in for a scan but I'm just wanting to know if anyone has had same experience. Should I be worried? Do I try to eat more? Is it because I could just have a small baby? Freaking myself out😢

Don't freak out. My baby measured small at 33w but was right on track at 35w. However he measured small at my appointment last week(36w) and I'm scheduled for an ultrasound to check his growth and amniotic fluid level in a week and a half, to make sure he's still growing. If he's not able to grow much more on the inside I will be induced because he'll grow more on the outside. Your dr will make sure that everything is okay with you and baby, you just do what he/she tells you and don't stress, it's not good for baby and pregnancy is already hard enough as it is. All 3 of my pregnancy I measured small. With my first they were worried, lots of ultrasounds. She was born just fine at 6lb 15oz, second was also measuring small and born just fine at 6lb 6oz, and third also measured small but was two weeks early, healthy at 5lb 2oz. Try not to worry you could just have nice small babies, lol makes it easier to push out 😀

I had this happen with my daughter at 30 weeks too. By this point there's not a whole lot you can do to make baby gain weight, it's all on baby to do so. The way my specialist described it to me was small mom, small baby. As long as baby is healthy on every other aspect, he/she should be okay. My specialist said my daughter would be lucky to come out at 5lbs, she was 5lbs, 14oz. The way my specialist described it to me was small mom, small baby. Baby knows what it's doing, just have faith mama :)
