How to time Braxton Hicks?

Brittany
Anyone having these? I feel like I am but sometimes it just feels like my belly is just right for a really long time!! How do I decipher what exactly is considered a Braxton hicks contraction?

Braxton hicks are not painful and don't need to be times, contractions will become painful and stronger

Yes they are uncomfortable but not painful. I get them a lot when I'm doing too much or not drinking enough water. It does feel like you whole stomach gets tight and then goes away.

Yes I wouldn't say painful as much as just uncomfortable. I've only experienced it once. My stomach tightened up and it felt like twinges going on

Braxton hicks can be painful and if you are having them frequently then you can download a contraction timer app to time them. My doc wanted to know how frequently I was having them to make sure it wasn't preterm labor because mine was so often. Then once I told him he brought me in to check my cervical length, but it turned out to be just bh but the app helped.

Okay thank you I'll def download an app. I feel a pretty co sister tightening that's def noticeable but I was thinking I was just on my feet doing a lot today. But it's like every couple mins.

There is no need to time Braxton hicks contractions. Real contractions are totally different. For some they start strong right away and for others they start feeling like period cramps and get stronger.
