Dresser changing table

I'm going to use the top of this as a changing area. How can I keep the changing pad secure? I was thinking strips of velcro on the underneath of the pad and on top of the dresser. But then I don't want to damage the top later on when the changing area isn't needed. Thoughts?

Also I painted and redid this myself. I'm not much of a DIYer, so I'm pretty proud lol. 😂 Didn't take a before picture, but it was a brown wood.
