Are these considered irregular contractions? I've been having contractions all day since 4am, (now 10:22pm). Started between 10-15min for hours, went to 7-9min for hours and now for about 3-4 hours I've been stuck with these. Opinions?

My sister had irregular contractions. She went into hospital when they were irregular. They wanted to send her home, she refused. They then wanted her to go walking on the esplanade, within 1 hour she was pushing and baby was born. Some labours just don't follow text book examples so if you feel like it's time, or are unsure, best to go get examined. Good luck.

If the contractions are painful/uncomfortable I'd say it's about time to call your doctor. Everyone says you shouldn't be able to talk through them if they're real, but I am pregnant with my fourth and I am here to tell you that is bs! I was talking and laughing through my last labor all the way up until my water broke around 7cm or so. I find that contractions are an uncomfortable pressure until water breaks, and then they're painful. Everyone is different, but I'd say with yours being so close and lasting all day i would definitely call and request to be checked.

Neither of my girls were textbook. I never had regular contractions, and I pushed my second out at a "stretchy 8cm" and not the usual "10cm." My midwife thought I was bs-ing when I said they baby is coming NOW! Haha!
