A more modest swimsuit for my husband?

Okay soooo. Here's the deal. My husband is a bigger guy and is super self concious about his body (I love him the way he is but of course it's hard to change his mind!). Anyway it's so bad that he doesn't even like to shop for clothes - I go for him and pick stuff out for him to try at home. So basically I do all his clothes shopping.

So the issue is, he wants to start swimming this summer to get in shape and also for fun. But he hates how he looks... so that is a problem. I thought, maybe I could get him a swimsuit that he'd be more comfortable in? I posted a pic here and I think it's a pretty cool swim suit... but I'm also worried he'll think I'm trying to cover him up or something and make him feel worse. I know this could totally blow up in my face even though my intentions are pure! How should I go about this?? Does anyone have any suggestions?
