What should round ligament pain feel like in the second trimester?

I'm 17 weeks and worried because the past 3 days I've been feeling a sharp stabbing pain on both sides on and off. Sometimes it feels like an electric shock.

I'm worried because my friend had placenta abruptipn at 26 weeks. My pregnancy so far has had no complications.

Pretty normal. I get the pains in my lower stomach area and groin area. Sometimes it's a sharp pain and sometimes it's an achy pain. Round ligament pain should be off and on for a while but not persistent. If the pain is constant or overly bothersome, I'd call the doctor. Placenta abrubtion is fairly rare, and from what I've heard extremely painful. So I would t worry. Good luck!

I was getting pains where I couldn't touch my stomach. You can tell its more surface than uterus pain.
