Sleep transitions
I am finally making the dreaded attempt to transition my 8 week old from sleeping in the Rock 'n Play to her crib. Right now I breastfeed her until she falls asleep, rock her for a bit, then put her in the Rock 'n Play when she's out cold. She'll sleep 6-7 hours, wake up to eat, then sleep another 2-3 hours.
I'm trying to figure out whether I should start making the crib transition by trying to teach her how to fall asleep on her own first (without being nursed/rocked to sleep) before moving her to the crib (so still in the Rock 'n Play) or if I should get her used to spending the night in the crib first, and then teach her how to fall asleep on her own later? Any thoughts??
