Terrible miscarriage pain

Last night I was feeling the cramps and nausea starting at six. Took some Tylenol. By seven thirty it hasn't changed so I took some ibuprofen. I couldn't sit or stand, I could barely lay down... Finally decided to call my md. They said to go to the ER if it's not getting better. So off we went. It was miserable and exhausting and embarrassing (because I work there...) But they finally have me some medicine that helped!

I had been bleeding for a week leading up to this and the bleeding got much heavier with this going on... So do you think that was it? I passed a pretty big clot in the ED and felt much better after that and the medicine. Did anyone else have an experience like this? Like a big crescendo up to this point then started getting better?

I just don't really know what to expect next. Any help for be appreciated!!
