Healthy/filling snacks!

I'm 11 weeks and I cannot  stop being hungry. I eat pretty healthy already and I'm determined not to gain a lot of extra weight this pregnancy but I am so hungry all the time! I don't want to eat heavy things cause they are usually high carb and not as healthy. So I'm curious what any kind of carb free, light, healthy, filling snacks would've found? (Doesn't really have to be carb free but I'm not opposed to that :) ) I snack on a lot of fruit veggies and cheese but i feel like I just can't keep myself full anymore.

I like to eat a handful of almonds and some blueberries when I'm in a snacking mood.

Protein!!! Nuts, meat healthily cooked, hard boiled eggs ... Veggies won't fill you up for any amount of time!

Yogurt, hummus, smoothies.... and try sprinkling some hemp hearts onto those snacks and you have a protein filled snack that keeps you full for quite a while. You can get hemp hearts in the health food aisle of the grocery store or at Trader Joe's.

I usually eat rice cakes with peanut butter! It makes you feel full and it is healthy.! Not so many calories! The most important thing is that your snacks have some protein so you dont get hungry fast.! 😄👍🏻

High carb does not mean unhealthy! What you should stay away from is foods with a high glycemic index, which means the carbs will quickly turn to sugar. 'Carbs' with a low glycemic index include steel cut oats, whole grain bread, pearl barley, quinoa, and all kinds of beans. These all have 'slow release' energy which will last a while.Roasted chickpeas are a great snack. Lots of recipes a Google search away.I keep hard boiled eggs in fridge (they last for 5 days).Black bean salad with corn, tomatoes, lime and cilantro is a great filling salad.

When high carb I just mean more starchy stuff foods. Breads and grains and such. I will definitely look into chickpeas I've never tried them!

I applaud you for sticking to healthy snacks, but in my own experience I've found that until I eat something filling like a small meal, I continue to crave foods and want to eat. So maybe, it's up to you, try eating a small meal between your normal meals. The carbs MIGHT be fewer with a small meal verses the constant snacking.

Np, and just remember you're body's gonna get to the size it thinks it needs. Yes, eating a ton with no limit will add more pounds, but sometimes your body needs it :) so don't stress about the scale

Eat some protein. I love snacking on beef jerky, string cheese and peanut butter and celery. The protein will help keep you fuller. Good luck I'm sure there's more snacks I just can't think of any:/
