Ultrasound for gender reveal??

Anybody on here in the uk on nhs? I'm wondering if at my 12 weeks scan tomorrow I can ask if they can tell the gender? Did any of you get told before your 20 weeks scan because I only get two scans a 12 week and a 20 week and don't have money to do a 3D or extra one outside of hospital. Xx

It's too early to tell. Even private clinics won't do the gender scan til 16weeks. Better to be accurate and wait for the 20wk scan
With my son the hospital policy was "don't even ask" so looking forward to being in a different area and hopefully being told

No they won't be able to tell. Most likely tell you at your 20 weeks scan. We're also getting a private one at 16 weeks. Ours is only costing us 65 quid. Xx

I found out at 13 weeks but the doctor said there was an 20% possibility of him being wrong.

Hi, I had my 12 week scan a couple of weeks ago and sonographer did say it was too early but at a guess she told us what she thought we were having! Just hoping she is right, I have booked a private scan for just after I'm 16 weeks to find out for sure. We are still keeping it a secret and plan to reveal as a surprise at our baby shower X
