Went to the ER tonight for blood pressure and protein check, thinking I was developing preeclampsia like my last pregnancy...I was fine in those regards; However I apparently have either a bladder infection or UTI....he couldn't say for sure, but wanted to start me on a course of antibiotics till the results come back later this week. So they give me my first dose and a second to take home for in the morning. 5 minutes later the nurse comes in and asks for the meds back...doctor comes in to tell me he just gave me something NOT SAFE IN TERM PREGNANCIES!!! He states that one dose "shouldnt" have any negative impact and gives me a new prescription, for a medicine that has to be taken FOUR TIMES A DAY. Ohhhh I cannot WAIT to call my OB in the morning! >:( Seriously, doctors scare me...they hand out meds like candy these days!
