BFP one cycle after MC

I miscarried in March at 9 weeks. My ob told use to put off ttc for until after my next AF. We started the day AF was done. We got our BFP yesterday after AF was two weeks late. We're very excited, but we're scared to call our OB. The last time we were pregnant, I was skeptical, cynical, and scared most of the time. Each doctors visit was stressful. The first visit all they saw was the sac which made me think I had a blighted ovum. The next visit the heart rate was low. The last visit they discovered I had had a missed miscarriage. It was never if something bad happened but when. Don't want to feel that way this time. I want to enjoy being pregnant regardless of how long I get to be pregnant this time. I'm probably in denial. How long can I put off my first OB appointment? It's been six weeks since AF.
