Induction?

Question

I'm looking at a very likely induction early next week and wanted to do it 100% natural, however, im a clueless FTM. Epidural is completely out of the question due to medical reasons. What was your experience??

Firstly, which method did you have/prefer?

Could you go completely natural?

Did you need medical intervention such as vacuum, forceps or c section?

Did you have any complications?

What was your overall experience?

Two inductions over here. I went all natural for both. I didn't need the help of a vacuum or anything. My first I had a pretty nasty tear as she was 9 lbs. My second was a breeze weighing 7lbs. My first I labored for 9 hours and pushed for 10 minutes, my second I labored for 4 hours and pushed for ten minutes. All I had was pitocin because with both of my babies I was 4 cm dilated and 90% effaced when I was induced. This time I want to experience going into labor all by myself. I'm trying to avoid an induction because I heard they hurt worse but I wouldn't know because I've never went into labor by myself. All in all the pain was horrible but when I relaxed and didn't tense up it was easier. I prayed a lot, and remembered each contraction brought me one step closer to holding my baby, I also found comfort in reminding myself that billions of women have done this before be without pain meds. The pushing was the worst part. It literally feels like your vagina is on fire but it goes away immediately after you push the shoulders out. It's gone as quickly as it started. I plan to go medication free again for this birth. Good luck!!!

I went natural with my first two, no epidurals. My first son was born at 36 weeks 6 days and my second son was born at 31 weeks do to polyhydramnios. It is admittedly painful but doable without medication.
