Was the genetic testing gender result wrong for you?

I had my blood drawn for the genetic testing at 10w1d. The results were girl. Someone told me today that 10 weeks is too early and the girl result could be wrong because they may not have gotten enough fetal blood. Please someone tell me this is not true😩

I was told if there wasn't enough fetal DNA in my blood the test wouldn't be able to be run & theyd have to redraw my blood. My test results came back in a week & there was enough fetal DNA. I then had a scan done at 12 weeks & the tech said it REALLY looked like a girl, I told her "Good, because that's what the labwork said!" LOL!

They all have a high degree in accuracy but the panorama is the best with no reported errors. The ones with "inaccurate" results were mosaic cases... What the test is really using is placental DNA (which comes from the fetus) and occasionally there can be an issue in cell division creating triploids instead of diploid cells (three copies instead of two) older maternal cells can shed an X chromosome. Or a case where the baby has turners syndrome where it's a female missing an X chromosome. And klienfelter syndrome that is XXY.  This does not seem to be the case for you however... The results would show an abnormality and they would do CVS sampling to get results that are more clear and come directly from the fetus. I'd rely on the DNA test results .... Is there any reason you are hesitant to believe it?

10 weeks is not to early and is hardly almost never wrong because it is the baby's DNA! The only way it can be wrong is if a typo is typed because DNA is never wrong I had mine don't at 10 weeks my aunt had hers done at 8 with the DNa and ours are all right and my fiends have never had a problem with it down in Florida our office gives everyone blood test 9-14 weeks and they are always right don't let people who know noting bring you down💕

It is possible, but rhey don't really do the test to check gender. It's more to find chromosome abnormalities. They can tell you the gender solely on the fact of they pick up a Y chromosome it's a boy, if not it's a girl. My doctor said its best to do it at 13 weeks or later so that you're not getting false positives. However, I haven't known anyone that went earlier to get an incorrect result. Hope thy helps.

I'm having  that same test done in a week  and I am skeptical  can it really  determine  the gender some people  say yes and then some people  said it can't

It's testing the DNA of the baby....for abnormalities & can tell the sex accurately. If you had a twin that was lost it can possibly pick up that baby's chromosome- i.e you're carrying a girl (xx) & the twin you lost was a boy (xy) the test could say boy instead of girl. They will know when they go to check your blood if there's not enough DNA in it to check....they'll have to redraw after a couple more weeks. But if there's enough of baby's DNA to check for abnormalities then they can check the sex.
