Fluid around baby's kidneys?

Hi! I just got a call from the dr. That my baby boys left kidney is elevated. They said its elevated 2.6 mm. She also said its not a big deal unless it's 10 mm, but they are gonna do another ultra sound in 2 weeks to see if it's worse. Anyone have experience with this?

We were told that as well during our 20 week anatomy scan. They had is go to a specialist to have a more in depth ultra sound. At that time I was 22 weeks and they both were slightly dilated. One was .45 and the other was .47. At that time they shouldn't be more than .4. They told us everything else was good and that we would continue to monitor them. A lot of the time it resolves itself. We just went this week at 26 weeks and they are bigger than the last time but are within the range they should be at this time. We go back next month to make sure they are still within the correct range at that time.

Hi! I'm having a daughter and she has the same issue. They said its wayyyy more common in boys than girls. But my doctor basically said straight up that she isn't worried about it at all and that more than likely it will go away before they are born.
