This might be a dumb question, but can I go swimming if I'm 3cm dilated and I've lost my mucus plug? It seems like risk of infection might be higher?

Yes you can. Your mucas plug regenerates, it's not like a lose it and done thing and as far as being dialated the only thing water and moving around in water may do is help dilate more.... But as far as infection no I wouldn't worry about that

My dr said no. You never know what bacteria could be in the water. And it's not worth the risk of infection.
