Do you have periods without the help of meds?

I've been bleeding for almost 2 or 3 months now even before I got on Metformin. Still is bleeding. I have doctors tomorrow cause I've been having memory loss, little bit of hair loss and unwanted hair growth.

When I was first diagnosed with PCOS ten years ago after years of wondering why my periods were absent and having a multitude of other PCOS symptoms, I had VERY irregular periods. I would have about four periods a year and they were very painful.  After my diagnosis I was on different birth control pills and eventually an IUD. I don’t know if it is because I lost weight in those ten years (about 20-30 pounds), started to regularly exercise or age but I got my IUD out recently in anticipation of TTC (I barely had periods with my IUD which is typical for anyone with one) and I have had regular periods since getting it out. I wanted to post because I wanted people to know that in my experience my periods were able to become regular after being very irregular for a long time. I know PCOS can at times feel overwhelming and lonely but you are not alone 💛

No periods for 4 and a half years before starting my meds.

Instead of skipping periods I would bleed heavily 9 days straight every 2 weeks for 5 years, then had one year it was regular and now on a year of only having it twice and once was only due to medications thisyear
