Epidural and Catheter?

Can you feel them put in and take out the catheter after you've had an epidural?

I felt a little pressure, but no pain.

I refuse to get it because I had a catheter done for another reason before and they messed it up so badly I will absolutely never willingly get one done. 
For labor they gave me some kind of IV pain meds and I was good. Knocked me out so I could sleep. I woke up they told me to push and baby was out within 30mins and I wasn't drugged or loopy. I'm hoping this time it happens the same way.

I felt it taken out cause they waited so long...but it wasn't painful

They don't put the catheter in until you've had your epidural so all you feel is pressure...if that.

I asked for pain medicine before the epidural because I couldn't handle the contractions. I can't remember what it was called but they gave me a shot. When I got the epidural and catheter I didn't feel it at all. I plan on doing the same with this pregnancy.
