They called him speedy
My now 10 year olds birth was the craziest. I love to tell the story because it was really like the craziest day for me and now that I look back I think it's hilarious because he's the same exact way to this day.
So I woke up for my last day of work. It was my due date. It was like spongy clearish discharge all in the bed when I woke up. I assumed it was my plug, up until now that had never happened and it was my 4th kid. I started to get ready and I had my first contraction. I called my job and before I could even say anything other than hey it's dymend she yelled to the floor "she's having the baby" I heard someone yell "I won where's my money" I didn't even know they were making bets on me 😭 me and my husband walk to the hostpital which happens to be be down the street. When I get there they tell me my water broke and it was leaking and that they were gonna transport me to the nearest place that delivered babies. They hook me up to an IV and put me in an ambulance. As soon as I get in I tell them "Do not take me to temple. Take me anywhere else"
After a few minutes I look at the surroundings and sure enough they are taking me to temple. Mind you, I had my first kid there they almost killed my baby. Not ever would I deliver there again. I tell them no, they tell me I have to because my water broke. We are 3 blocks away and the ambulance DIES. The driver says- "ha ha at least you don't need oxygen " what😳😳 strike 1 ❌ they get the ambulance back on and pull into the er area. As they are taking the stretcher off the back my IV is caught on the wheel which then caused it to come out and it's blood everywhere now. Strike 2 ❌ they finally get me situated but my husband is about to snap he's a thug and they got his wife bleeding all over a hospital she doesn't want to be in. They push me up to the automatic doors IM NOT EVEN IN THE HOSPITAL YET and the stretcher hits the door. It won't open. Took 6 men to pry it open. Strike 3 ❌❌❌ my husband is furious. We get upstairs and before they could do anything I took the IV out patched myself up and get dressed. They came in and asked "where are you going" my husband said "none of your concern she's no longer your patient" (Yassss baby) we walked out. In the middle of all this I'm still having contractions. We walked to the subway. Slowly, but we made it. 5 stops later we were at einstien. I checked in they took me right up to labor and delivery. They checked me and said I was 4cm, it would be a couple hours before I had the baby. My husband says "I'm going to smoke a cigarette" I call my mom who has my kids. My daughter answers and starts singing "mommys having a baby mommys having a baby" all of a sudden - I had to push. How can that be? I was 4 cm NOT EVEN 2 MINUTES AGO. I'm like Aaliyah- mommys gotta go I'm having the baby she still singing "mommys having a baby" I had to hang up on my baby girl. He was coming. I'm screaming for a nurse and someone runs in. I'm like I have to push! Get my husband! She says, no way miss. We just checked u 5 minutes ago u had a long way to go. She pulled my sheet back and the look on her face was priceless. She screamed DOCTOR and hit a button and dropped the bed out. I'm like go get my husband!! All these people start pouring in and someone goes to get my husband. He wants to come but I can't do this without his dad there. I closed my legs. The nurse said, you have to open your legs I said not until my husband is here ! She said if you don't open your legs right now he will die. I opened my legs and he just slid out. I don't even think I pushed. My husband runs in the room. 12 minutes after he was told I was 4cm and it would be hours. He wasn't even done his cigarette. And here I am holding the baby. I'm crying hysterically he looks so confused and I'm just like " whereeeeeee wereeeeee youuuuuuu" all snot faced and childlike. Everyone called him speedy our whole stay there. Born on his due date Jermaine was 7 pounds 13 ounces. He's now 10 and speedy is an understatement . He never stops talking. He never stops moving. We call him flash now.
Ps- My two kids after were horrendous so don't think the more u have the easier it gets lmao
