Gestational diabetes symptoms?

What are signs and symptoms 
Or did some of you not even know until being tested

I'm always light headed my eyes are always blurry always extremely tired and no energy

I'm type 2 diabetic. I feel like the symptoms would be the same. Before I got diagnosed I was EXTREMELY thirsty. Nothing could quench my thirst. I was always drinking water or something.

I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes pretty late into my pregnancy, and I was highly glucose intolerant. I had had symptoms but just didn't realise what was going on!
I would have episodes where I would go super dizzy, generally I couldn't keep my head up and had to lay it down, I would sweat, go really pail and feel like I was gonna throw up and lose control of my bowls at the same time (luckily I never did). I never quite passed out and eventually after sitting still for a while the symptoms would disappear until the next episode.
I was never particularly thirsty or any of the other obvious symptoms which is why I never guessed what was going on.
