Our hearts are in Florida...
As yet another gun tragedy befalls us, this time aimed at the LGBTQIA -- the biggest mass shooting in U.S. history -- many of us stand here feeling horrified and helpless.
This act of hate has multiple facets: Terrorism. ISIS. Gun control....you name it.
But the one I want to address is the homophobia that accompanied this mass murder.
It's not hard to feel that nothing will ever change. That hatred will extuingish life, love, and hope.
But it won't. It can't. And there is no greater proof of that than the Glow Community.
Every day I have a front-row seat to the conversations that take place on Glow, and I see the resilience and perseverence of members of community - like Rogue, April, A.B and many many others - as they stand up and challenge long-held convictions. As they chip away at prejudice. As they inevitably build a better, more tolerant tomorrow.
So on this day of heartbreak and sorrow, I just want to take a moment and thank the members of our community who teach us tolerance, who make us rethink our own latent biases, who lead us.
You know who you are. And because of you - I do believe the world WILL BE a better place for my children. So thank you.
